This residential project was designed as an exploration of materiality, craftsmanship, and understated luxury. Located in the heart of Barcelona, the home was conceived for clients seeking a contemporary interior that felt warm, tactile, and enduring rather than trend-driven.

The design brief focused on creating a cohesive environment where every material contributed to a sense of balance and refinement. Particular attention was given to the relationship between natural textures, sculptural forms, and carefully curated details, resulting in spaces that feel both sophisticated and deeply comfortable.

The material palette is anchored by light oak, copper, marble, and vibrant wall coverings chosen for their timeless appeal and ability to age gracefully. Throughout the home, bespoke joinery and custom-designed elements create continuity between rooms while elevating everyday functions into architectural features.

At the centre of the kitchen, a sculptural copper-clad island serves as the focal point of the space. Its warm metallic finish contrasts beautifully with pale oak cabinetry and elegant marble surfaces, creating a composition that feels both contemporary and inviting. The dining area continues this dialogue through a monolithic travertine table paired with velvet seating, while a striking chain-link pendant introduces a playful artistic element that energises the room.

The overall design intent was to create an interior that feels effortlessly luxurious without excess. Through a careful balance of natural materials, craftsmanship, and contemporary design, the project delivers a home that is both visually impactful and highly livable.
